About The Role As our Data Governance Specialist you`ll provide critical support to the overall Data Foundations Programme and any projects that are aimed at improving the quality, availability and consistency of Cadent’s data. You`ll provide day-to-day engagement with Data Stewards, coordinate their data governance activities. A large aspect of this will be leadership and coordination around the fixes, which are the areas of improvement that have been identified to drive improved data quality. You`ll be come familiar with Cadent`s Information Management Framework and will support bringing this to life in the business. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team, shaping how data will be managed and its value maximised at Cadent going forward. Key accountabilities of the Data Governance Specialist will include: Providing day-to-day engagement with Data Stewards Leading on detailed fixes Ensuring support from relevant teams including Data team, Comms and Training as well as wider business to set up for success. Managing the Information Governance team to co-ordinate the implementation of the Information Management Framework, iterations of this document, and potentially the creation and implementation of related policies, standards, processes, etc. Ensuring data quality measures are defined that drive Data Quality improvement as measured via Cadent Data Quality Index. Overseing prioritisation of fixes across Cadent to ensure these are set up to succeed and resourced accordingly Escalating any barriers as required, to Data Governance Manager Providing support to Data Governance Forums, including preparing agendas, minutes About You You’ll possess the following qualifications, skills and experience: Knowledge and experience of analysing complex and connected data Knowledge and experience of producing visual performance indicators and performance reports Experience of managing risk and developing risk mitigation strategies and actions Knowledge and experience of setting and managing performance targets within a team Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
