Full Job Description
The Role We are looking for a talented and motivated Research Software Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence and Informatics Theme at the Rosalind Franklin Institute (the Franklin). Many projects at the Franklin produce 2D, 3D, and correlative imaging data of biological and materials science systems. In many cases analysis of these data are manual or only semi-automated meaning many datasets are never analysed fully. An aim of the AI&I theme is to remove these barriers through the implementation of automation and/or machine learning. However, in many cases, before automation can be implemented, the processing pipeline must be validated, or training data must be provided. This is where we rely on citizen science to provide this early data.
