We’ll looking for a Data Management Specialist to come and work in our Data Management & Requirements team. We are the go-to team for data; knowing what data we have, how it’s used and if it’s fit for purpose. We work with the business to deliver our customer’s data demands. Our job is to develop these data demands; understanding how they fit into the existing data asks and what we need to capture, source or change to meet them. You’ll provide technical leadership of Ordnance Survey's data. Providing expert consultancy on geospatial data requirements. Contributing to the future development of corporate geospatial data management, solving data issues to ensure requirements are met. About you: This role requires you to establish effective relationships with the business. You won’t be afraid of complexity and thrive in such environments. You’ll be experienced in data management and have the ability to inform and advise on best data practices, ensuring we’re the ‘go to team’ for data. You’ll understand data, the technology and capabilities required. To be the successful candidate you must demonstrate your track record against the following essential criteria and competencies in your application: Strong self-awareness and interpersonal skills - adapts personal style as appropriate to situation & audience. Excellent influencing and communication skills, demonstrable ability to engage, work with and influence both business & technical teams. Experience in data management regarding data analysis, managing reference data, metadata and quality metrics Good knowledge of geographic data, databases & quality and understanding of uses of geospatial information.
