In order to tackle this head on, the housing division needs to be responsive and agile in our understanding of the challenge we face. We need a driven and passionate analyst to help the council respond to the future changes in the housing landscape. We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding, motivated person to join Lewisham Council’s high performing Housing Partnerships & Service Improvement team. Working alongside colleagues from across the housing directorate, you will be instrumental in developing strategic thinking and formulating policy using robust analysis. To help us do more, you’ll work alongside our current analysis and policy function, expanding insight and setting the direction for the service. Your work will be varied, encompassing a wide range of important fields including but not limited to homelessness, supported housing and private sector housing policy. We will trust you to use your own initiative and ideas to look at our data in new ways, exploring data available internally and externally to develop insight and understanding of the challenges faced by Lewisham. Critical to this will be your ability to translate this knowledge into actionable insight and to effectively communicate this to colleagues at all levels to shape the direction of the team. You will work extensively across all parts of the housing service and partner teams, helping to effectively deliver on exciting projects as part of our existing corporate strategy and housing strategy, as well as shaping the development of future strategies. This is a 9 month temporary post. The council would be willing to consider applicants looking for a secondment opportunity. Location Laurence House, Catford What we’re looking for You will need the ability to analyse and communicate complex data to a wide range of audiences. Your work will range from producing and communicating reports for directors, to detailed analysis of policy proposals and legislation to inform strategic decision making and operational approach.
