Job Title:   Publishing Manager Organization:   Global Product Development (GPD) and Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) Department:   Publishing and Product License Support (PPLS) UK Position reports to UK Publishing Hub Lead Role Purpose We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Publishing Manager to join Publishing team within Publishing and Product License Support (PPLS). You will provide technical and project management expertise to the Global Publishing organisation, ensuring the definition and delivery of initiatives to meet our Publishing group future vision. This you will be a collaborative partner with the Information Management and Pfizer Digital groups to help identify and implement strategic solutions, to meet the demands of regulatory submission publishing. Members of the Publishing team hold responsibility for defining and upholding Pfizer publishing standards and practices to meet agency requirements globally. Our Publishing Manager will provide technical expertise to partnering business lines, in order to drive excellence in the design, implementation and delivery of global regulatory submissions. This role reports to the UK Publishing Hub Lead and sits within a team working to tight, business-critical deadlines within a highly regulated environment. Primary Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Support the key delivery of PPLS global publishing portfolio Provide strategic planning and forward thinking to move Publishing towards their future vision Drive creation and maintenance of publishing project management plans, including goal specification, documentation, and communication to staff, periodic review/refresh and tracking key delivery against stated goals. Management and/or execution of selected non drug activities and initiatives, involving proactive liaison with stakeholders across the Pfizer organisation, prioritising and executing to meet deadlines and objectives with activities related to strategic project tracking, finances, resource management and vendor management, etc. Maintain a working knowledge of electronic and paper publishing systems and tools and how these are applied. Definition, investigation and implementation of regional and global process efficiencies for paper and electronic submission publishing, including the evaluation of current processes. Help interpret regulatory guidelines to produce business requirements and ensure that those requirements are implemented where appropriate at local level. Define and implement standards and regional process efficiencies for submission publishing and project learning sessions to meet these standards. Provide technical Subject Matter Expertise for current and future publishing solutions and provide efficiency/enhancement proposals for the publishing tool suites. Partner with Information Management and Pfizer Digital colleagues to deliver future technical solutions Technical Skill Requirements Proven technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and use new software, regulations and quality standards Strategic/forward thinking Ability to lead projects and technical implementation changes Proven experience Project Managing or delivering through others in a matrix environment (Global Project Management desirable) Demonstrated coordination of activities in a highly regulated environment Experience of successfully mentoring others An understanding of the concepts around regulatory affairs, knowledge of the drug development and regulatory submissions processes would be advantageous.
