Job Description

Hey you,
Since you’ve ended up on this page, it must mean that you’re interested in potentially working at Estrid! We’re so honored. Let us take you through what this role and working with us could look like.
We won’t lie - this is not your average company. We are a group of dreamers and doers, on a mission to create the world’s greatest consumer brand(s) and company. In these past years, we've done more than most thought possible and have established ourselves as an outlier consumer case. But to be honest, we see this as only the beginning - and we’d like you to join us in building the rest.

Your purpose & impact:
Estrid is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our data team. With a fully established data warehouse at its core, Estrid is at a pivotal stage where your expertise will be crucial in elevating our data framework to enable the next series of analytics models and reporting. You will play a key role in advancing our data warehouse, enhancing its capabilities to support Estrid’s continuous growth and dynamic needs.

Some of the things you’ll do:

  • Collaborate closely with the data team to refine and enhance the existing data warehouse and data pipeline architecture.

  • Advance and optimize our data marts, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable data models.

  • Leverage your expertise in data engineering and analytics to drive the development of more sophisticated data integrations and analytics solutions.

  • Contribute to the improvement of our ETL/ELT processes, focusing on automation, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Engage in proactive knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration on advanced SQL, data science, and data engineering best practices.

  • Champion data governance and data quality initiatives, setting new standards across the organization.

  • Promote and advocate for a sophisticated data-driven culture, influencing decision-making processes and strategic directions.

Skills and experiences important for this role:

  • Possess significant experience in data engineering and analytics, with a deep understanding of advanced data warehouse concepts and practices.

  • Proficient in cloud environments, particularly GCP, with a strong grasp of associated data services and tools.

  • Skilled in developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines, ideally with experience in dbt.

  • Familiar with best practices in software development, including CI/CD, TDD, DDD, and product thinking, and able to balance perfection with pragmatism.

  • Adept in various programming languages and technologies, including SQL and Python.

Culture we believe you thrive in:
To succeed in the role of Data Engineer we think that you are a forward-thinker with a passion for driving impactful data solutions and eager to grow with Estrid. You value and contribute to a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and have a passion for community and disruption.
The Estrid culture isn’t just a collection of inspiring quotes we pin to our walls - it’s the foundation on which everything we do is built. The behaviours of every person matters. Some of our values are Speed, Excel, Togetherness and Challenge & Commit.

What you’ll get:
You will play an extremely important role in taking this brand to the next level, so you should desire to go above and beyond in your work. In turn, you will be joining an incredible company and team at an early stage where everything you do will have a huge impact. For the right person, there are great opportunities to develop and grow together with Estrid.

Does this sound like a role made for you? We’re looking forward to hearing from you (please apply with a resume/ cover letter in English)!

Warmly,

Estrid
