How can you contribute

You will use your inquisitive, analytical mind to develop insights from complex, multi-modal datasets and a deep understanding of the domain. You'll use these insights to build novel machine-learning algorithms that will become critical components in the future of antibody drug discovery.

The interactions between our machine learning, laboratory and engineering teams are crucial to the success of Antiverse. You'll be interfacing with these teams to ensure we're making the best use of the data produced in our lab and working with our engineering team to integrate our models into production pipelines and systems.

Day-to-day activities

  • Each day can look very different at Antiverse, with new priorities coming in quickly. Below is a rough outline of the work you'll be involved in
  • Developing machine learning models, improving and critically assessing models to meet core business objectives.
  • Statistical analyses and exploratory analysis of biological data.
  • Research on SOTA techniques and approaches to issues. Engaging in team collaborations to enhance understanding and to realise the goal of rationally designed therapeutics.
  • Reporting and presenting research and developments clearly and succinctly to stakeholders.
  • Writing high-quality, well-documented code.
  • Cross-functional work with the Data Engineering, Software Engineering and DevOps, and laboratory team.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities to meet needs.

Who you are

N.B. If you look at this list and think you could do this and are excited by the opportunity but don't tick every box, please get in touch anyway! We believe it's much easier to develop technical experience than develop motivation & excitement, and we're willing to invest our time and expertise in the right individual with the right motivations.

  • A motivated individual who is passionate about the vision of Antiverse.
  • Experienced in Python / R / Julia for data analysis and biological data analysis would be a huge plus. We're currently Python-based, but open to broadening our horizons. We are more focused on being able to meet our core objectives, the language of choice is secondary.
  • Mathematically minded approach to solving problems and passionate about bringing clarity to complicated subject matter.
  • Experience in Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Experience with antibody structures or protein structures or drug discovery
  • A critical approach to the issues at hand. We want people who can suggest the best course of action, this does not always mean agreeing with the status-quo.
  • Curious and inquisitive. Our line of work is relatively niche, a lot of experimenting and research has led us to our current state, we hope you can help us do more.
  • Comfortable reading academic papers and explaining them to the team.

Bonus Points for

  • Experience in applying research with software engineering principles, whether working within an agile methodology or utilising version control for incremental code improvement.
  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Ubuntu/Debian flavours of Linux.
