Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Solve practical and commercial/industrial challenges. 
  • Provide analysis of large quantities of data 
  • Identify anomalies, trends, and areas of further investigation 
  • Create and apply predictive models using a range of methodologies. 
  • Articulate prioritised key findings from daily analysis. 
  • Undertake daily analysis as assigned by the VP Data Science. 
  • Develop novel analytical approaches and use of mathematical / machine learning algorithms. 
  • Provide mentoring and development guidance to the data science team 

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Be qualified to at least BSc level in Data Science / applied analytics or similar 
  • Ideally you will have 5-10 years’ experience in applied data science 
  • PhD or other further qualification advantageous 
  • Have experience deploying the latest data science analytic technologies and Machine learning. 
  • Demonstrate line management experience, capable of supervising, developing and mentoring junior data scientists. 
  • Possess knowledge and experience of statistical modelling techniques 
  • Have experience in working within a multi-discipline team 
  • Experienced in predictive analytics. 
  • Sound knowledge in Principal component and multi variate techniques
  • Proficient in Python 
  • Great communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical parties.
