Job Description

We are looking to hire Data Engineers to our team. You will work closely with Finance Professionals, Machine Learning Researchers and Software Engineers at the cross-roads of AI and Finance. As part of our advanced development capacity in Finance you will be integral part of our multi-disciplinary teams working on client engagements. Your responsibility will be to process varied and complex heterogeneous time-series data sets, visualising the data, and extracting insights to help solve real-world problems.

Your main responsibilities

  • Process, visualise and analyse data, and prepare for use by finance and research colleagues
  • Deliver in time and quality limits
  • Automate data processing through scripting and use of tools
  • Work with databases and high performance file systems
  • Develop scripts and software for data processing in production

Key qualifications

  • Passion for extracting insights from data relevant to real world problems
  • Experience in working with complex time-series data sets
  • Passion for learning about new domains, in particular financial markets
  • Working knowledge of SQL, a programming language, preferably Python; working knowledge of multiple languages beneficial
  • Experience in data warehousing, data pipelines, time series data and/or web-scraping is desirable
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar is desirable
