Head of Data Science

One of Oxford’s most prestigious R&D companies are looking to expand their analytics team rapidly due to a period of high growth and development and they are looking to hire a talented and experienced ‘Head of Data Science/Analytics’. You will be heading up a team of 15-20 analysts which remains the backbone of the company and their core product.

This is a truly exciting opportunity to join a company that are pioneers and world leaders in their field, with a unique product like no other. You will interact with C level management, data scientists and scientists to ensure the highest levels of analytics are being produced for the vast data their flagship product produces.The company are continuing to grow, and you will be at the forefront to spearhead the growth and development of this exceptional R&D department.

Essential/Desirable skills:

• At least 3 years managerial experience
• Experience managing large teams
• Experience with Python
• Superb knowledge of algorithms and algorithmic development
• Knowledge of Matlab/NumPy/SciPy/Pandas
• Fantastic organisation/communication skills
• Track record of using machine learning for image analysis (medical / microscopy / astrophysics etc.)

Location: Oxford

Salary: Up to £100,000
