Job Description

This organisation operates in the insurance arena with a strong focus on their charity commitments, now searching for a Lead BI Analyst to provide high quality analytical expertise to the business. You will be part of larger, dynamic team and have a set of clear objectives aiming to maximise insights from available data sources. You will be expected to learn new skills rapidly - to reach this goal you will be supported with a mix of internal and external training and development sessions as well as self-study and research. 

Role & Responsibilities 

  • Optimise and streamline all data and reporting related tasks. 
  • Liaise with business-wide range of stakeholders to promote understanding and usage BI Platform 
  • Develop Advanced Reporting and Analytical Solutions 
  • Maximise the use of Machine Learning and AI algorithms 
  • Provide support, leadership and technical expertise to team of 3 BI Analysts 
  • Explore and implement advanced analytical methodologies 
  • Mentor and coach others. 

Experience & Skills Required 

  • Educated to university Degree in a numerical discipline or wide-ranging work-based experience. 
  • Demonstrate experience and broad knowledge in data analysis using advanced methods 
  • Experience in developing BI reporting solutions in Power BI, Tableau or similar 
  • Have advanced SQL or SAS skills alongside advanced Excel and VBA Skills. 
  • Lead change and development of new techniques 
  • Be passionate about new technologies 
  • Experience of managing and prioritising multiple priorities 
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
