About the role

A separate Data Management function is a relatively new concept for Quilter Investors. The main purpose of the role continues to develop over 2020:

Existing:

  • To provide appropriate, accurate and controlled start of day data to the Investment team to enable them to deliver their BAU objectives;
  • To provide data management consultancy to all Quilter Investors projects/initiatives to ensure that solutions are designed in line with the agreed data strategy;
  • To oversee data management resource assigned to Quilter Investors projects/initiatives ensuring that deliverables are in line with agreed plans and of the requisite quality;
  • To ensure that the Data Management control framework is properly aligned to the corporate risk appetite
  • To ensure that all critical processes supported by Data Management can be delivered in any reasonably foreseen circumstance

To be implemented by June 2020 as part of an existing initiative:

  • To provide appropriate, accurate and controlled Net Asset Value data to the Investment Risk team to enable them to deliver their BAU objectives;

To be developed during 2020:

  • To provide appropriate, accurate and controlled data to the Commercial and Finance teams to enable them to deliver their BAU objectives.

About you

  • A proven track record in data management within the Asset Management space is required with knowledge of operational processes as a pre-requisite
  • Direct experience of working with thinkFolio and EDM (or similar applications) as a pre-requisite.
  • An excellent knowledge of best practice for data management.
  • Knowledge of the data and the data-flows used at an asset manager including the Electronic Trading lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of various investment products, such as; Equities, Funds, Bonds, ETD's and OTC's.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamic and Static Reference Investment data.
  • Strong knowledge of Systems, Processes and Controls used to support an asset management business
  • Strong risk awareness
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including active listening
  • Ability to use SQL effectively to investigate data.
  • Advanced Excel and Word.
  • Stakeholder management skills and providing reports and briefing materials to Senior Management and working with IT support, BA’s and Developers.
