Our Team

Our agile cross functional portfolio teams work collaboratively to solve interesting and challenging problems in industries we participate in.

Typically, our teams comprise of Data Scientists and/or Simulation Engineers, Full Stack Software Engineers, UX, Test Engineers, System Reliability Engineers (DevOps).

The Role

You will become one of our key contributors who guide and foster innovation by developing leading edge products that span various market segments including mobility, automotive, motorsport, transportation and human performance.

As a Software Engineer who is passionate about technology, you will use the most effective and applicable technologies to create robust and scalable customer facing cognitive applications. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of innovative team working on mobility products.

You will work on a variety of challenges towards product or solution deliverables, working alongside cloud native, Mobile developers and UX.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C#, Kotlin, C++
  • Exposure to NLP or a related discipline, such as computational linguistics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence will be a plus.
  • Exposure to machine learning, text mining or natural language processing techniques.
  • Proficiency in building cognitive applications using NLU such as MS LUIS, Google DF or Rasa
  • Experience and understanding of building products on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP or OpenStack.
  • Experience of building cognitive applications such as Chatbots
  • Experience integrating with Messaging platforms and smart devices such as Amazon Alexa/Google Home
  • Familiarity with CICD pipelines and test automation
  • Good understanding of agile or lean development practices.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
  • Ability to write and speak in English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure and understanding of building mobile applications.
  • Exposure to message brokers such as Kafka

The work environment
You will be based at our office in centre of Woking. Some travel to the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking will be required.
