Job Description

Your responsibilities as a Business Intelligence Developer are to work within the Business Intelligence team to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the business. You must have excellent organisational, prioritisation, communication and time management skills. Collectively the Business Intelligence team are responsible for the development, maintenance and governance of the SQL Azure Hosted Data Warehouse, Power BI reporting dashboards, Tabular SSAS cubes and more!

The Key tasks include;

  • Full ETL Lifecycle from multiple sources

  • Data Modelling

  • Maintenance of environment

  • Support and Monitoring of MS Stack

  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing of MS Stack

  • Visualisation of Data using Power BI

Essential criteria and skills required:

  • SSAS is a must, with proven experience at developing cubes from scratch – Either Tabular (DAX) or Multi-Dimensional (MDX)

  • Experience working in a BI Developer role, from design, delivery, development and support

  • Experienced on the development and maintenance of the full Microsoft BI stack (SSIS/SSAS)

  • Data Warehouse development and maintenance experience

  • Ability to deliver reporting excellence to aid the business for both standard reporting, and strategic decision making

  • Data visualisation – Power BI

  • Formal testing process throughout delivery life cycle

  • Building and maintaining Stored procs, Functions, Views and Triggers.

  • Documentation of Database, codes, stored procedures.

  • Good English skills (both written and verbal)

  • Demonstratable knowledge and working understanding of the entire ETL MS Stack

  • Educated to A level at minimum or equivalent working experience

Desirable criteria and skills required:

  • Experience in SQL Azure Data Warehousing

  • Azure web services

  • SSRS

  • BIML

  • IFS / Navision ERP Technologies

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working with disparate data within a global organisation which has grown through acquisition.
