The role

As the Asset Management Program Manager, you will be accountable for successfully managing and delivering the statement of work requirements of the ‘Program Management Services for the HQ EAM Program and EAM Information System’. You will provide Asset Management and large Asset Management IT system implementation advice to the MTA EAM HQ Executive.

In a typical week you will:

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to implement the MTA’s EAM Program and the MTA’s EAM-IS Program.
  • Establish a fully functional Program Management Office consisting of staff, robust project controls, office space, and management tools to support program delivery.
  • Oversee and manage the EAM IS Principal Systems Integrator (PSI).
  • Oversee implementation of EAM Governance including both program and IT Governance.
  • Establish, align and maintain EAM Program and EAM IS activities with MTA agency and MTA IT activities and with MTA objectives.
  • Accountable for the performance of the P&L across the contract.

Management:

  • Work with the Business Development team to identify opportunities and provide appropriate resources to convert these into secured orders.
  • Regularly review the resources and project plans with the Project Managers across the Program to identify and/or pre-empt resourcing conflicts. Raise any concerns with the Head of Resource Management.
  • Present performance of the Program at monthly finance review meetings with the Business Director, explaining any variances and providing amended forecast figures where necessary, including up to date forecast of WIP, Cash flow, debt, earned value, etc.
  • Delivery of, or exceeding project commercial and financial performance targets through rigorous management of costs, billing and change control, and driving commercial best practice.

We want to hear from you if:

  • You’re a consultant with proven experience in leading and managing a complex program of projects to implement an enterprise level Information Systems.
  • Are qualified with a relevant Engineering degree
  • You have proven experience in rail, Transit or infrastructure operational maintenance.
  • Are experienced in managing a P&L.
  • Have previous sector experience and knowledge of PMOs and EAMS systems.
  • Hold certification in Prince2, MSP, and/or PMP preferred.
  • You understand SAP, and its use to set up projects, periodic reporting processes, etc.
  • You have previously used an Asset Management Information System or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
