About the roleAs a Business Intelligence and Data Visualisation Developer within our Business Intelligence specialism, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working with user researchers, technical leads, users, clinicians and subject matter expects on a range of Business Intelligence projects that aim to improve health and social care.NHS Digital is the data and technology partner of the health and care system. We deliver critical national services, lead major technological change programmes, produce impartial statistics and hold health and care data in trust for the nation enabling world-class data science.NHS Digital has developed several Business Intelligence products and dashboards to support the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team using data and technology to improve lives.

As part of the role you will be responsible for
Building on the rapid progress of the last few months this role will be part of a newly formed business intelligence team.

As a technical subject matter expert, you will use Tableau to develop, improve and maintain a range of dashboards to support the health and care system.

As an expert analyst, you will interpret and present a range of complex or novel analysis to a range of stakeholders include clinicians and the public.

About you

We want you to be set for success, these are some of the key skills and experience that you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong analytical and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience of developing dashboards in Tableau.
  • Be able to understand and interpret results from complex or novel analysis, apply the results to the given problem and suggest conclusions to be drawn.
  • Able to present and explain results of analysis via written and verbal communication.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of databases including database interrogation tools.
  • Business intelligence and visual analytics to develop and standardise sophisticated interactive presentations
