Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • Using your technical Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) expertise to support the definition of best-practice financial reporting control standards
  • Interpreting gaps to best practice financial reporting controls – understand impact, root cause and action needed to bring about improvement
  • Translation of observations into an improvement plan and understanding the efficacy of the actions in meeting the objectives of the financial reporting control standards
  • Working alongside relevant Business Unit leads and control owners in implementing the financial reporting control standards
  • Align with key stakeholders within Anglo, External Auditors and third-party service providers

Reporting to the Compliance Transformation Implementation Lead, the role is based within Group Finance and is a Band 6.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing / Finance / Risk along with a Professional designation (CPA or CA) required
  • Prior management role within in a SOX Environment – i.e. within a SOX registrant; or as Audit or Advisory professional to SOX registrants
  • Specialist knowledge in interpretation and application of SOX standards
  • Strong project management experience, ideally on a global scale within a finance project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver presentations and materials, targeted at the appropriate level to engage senior management
  • Manage multiple tasks concurrently and work to deadlines
