Team:
The Fulfilment team is working on multi-channel and multi brand website, iOS and Android apps, backed with a truckload of microservices to support the customer experience. Fulfilment is at the core of providing stock data from across Sainsbury’s group brands and missions as well as our external partners, so we always have new, technically challenging projects to work on.

Tech Stack:
Java 8/11, Spring,SQL databases(Oracle,DB2).SoapUI, Sterling OM modules development experience. We keep track of everything using Git, Jira & Confluence.

About the role:
You will be a Sterling engineer in our team, responsible for the full project lifecycle from inception with our Product Owners through to deployment and support. You’ll be building scalable solutions to support our Inventory Management teams and Sterling fulfilment platform. Equally, we will expect you to demonstrate good quality code on IBM Sterling application customisation.

What we’re looking for:
Essential:

  • Advanced Java development skills, ideally using Spring
  • Sterling Order Management and Inventory Management experience.
  • Experience of working on the full project lifecycle
  • Evaluating pros and cons of different technical approaches

Desirable:

    • Experience with AWS
    • SOAP Ui
    • Experience of working in multifunctional teams
    • Deploying using CI/CD
    • Scripting languages
    • Scrum and Kanban
