We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Affairs professional to become an MSL within the Haematology portfolio for the UK affiliate to enhance scientific exchange and knowledge about product(s), disease(s) and therapeutic areas to ensure safe and effective use of Astellas products and engage in discussions regarding evolving trends in disease state management, trends in therapy.
As the trusted scientific partner, you will be responsible for engagement with external stakeholders as well as decision-makers engaging in scientific exchanges to accelerate data dissemination and enhance the understanding of the scientific and medical value of Astellas’ products in the therapy area.
Location : home based – preferably Surrey and surrounding areas as our office is in Woking, Surrey.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide Astellas with actionable scientific, medical and competitive insights and intelligence gained during scientific exchange and assess possible impact on Astellas initiatives
Provide input to local/regional Medical Plan for both strategies and tactics
Maintain medical and scientific knowledge and staying current to enable peer-to-peer scientific exchange. This can include, but not be limited to, attendance to medical/scientific congresses, evaluate relevant scientific literature, and complete continuous education and self-learning courses
Identify KEEs in alignment with Medical Strategy and develop and maintain professional relationships with Key External Experts (KEE). Providing support to and engage in scientific exchange with KEEs
In Research support, identify investigators and recommending sites for Medical Affairs and/or Development sponsored studies upon request from M&D and engage with Investigators about their research capabilities as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Prior MSL experience
Cross functional approach
Proven strategic mindset
Team player but also able to work independently
MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), med. databases, Internet, Outlook
Prior experience within Oncology and/or Onco-Hema is an asset
Clinical Research background will be a plus.
