Driving success at Capita Learning a BI Data Engineer:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an BI data engineer to join our busy and fast paced team. You will be providing Capita Learning with a n extensive range of BI skillsets and capabilities. These skills will range across all aspects of the data life cycle . Ranging from core data ex traction techniques from source IT Systems (SQL, Post greSQL, Snowflake, ODBC, etc), whilst flowing into the ability to effectively transform & model data into meaningful datasets which can be used within analytics.

This role post plays a critical role in the success of the business and combines the opportunity to utilise existing skill sets with extensive opportunities to develop and progress.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Establish and provide data extraction processes from any IT systems used by Capita Learning to enable data for decision making analytics

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of d ata sources using SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, ODBC

  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools

  • Align system s and their data architecture to meet business insight requirements

  • Deliver high quality data insight applications in visualisation applications using Power BI, QlikSense and NPrinting

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven working experience as a business analyst in business intelligence field in a similar fast paced commercial environment.

  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

  • Build processes supporting dat a transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.

  • Experience supporting and working with cross - functional teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Qualification /Experience with at least one of the following BI Software Visualisation Tool s Power BI, QlikSense, Tableau , NPrinting
