The SKU Simplification Data and Engagement Specialist partners with the business teams within all Markets to implement the global product roadmap for data driven SKU Simplification and all supporting data and analytics capabilities. This role requires direct engagement with the stakeholders (WL 2 and 3) with multiple processes and ensure that the data readiness for implementing the Global Product for SKU Simplification is landed within the Markets.

This job also requires reviewing the data preparedness of Markets, ensuring the first level of change impact assessment completed by the business teams are analysed and signed off by end stakeholder, liaise with internal stakeholders on agile development of the product and provide solutions, plan for resources, and implement the changes within agreed deadlines to ensure that the business needs are met with the Global SKU Simplification tool.

The role also involves leading a 3PP team of data and analytics specialists and is empowered with cutting edge data crunching skills to deliver above expectations on service levels. This role gives a great opportunity to the incumbent to contribute to I&A priorities around unlocking business value, drive enhanced user experience and insights. The expectations from the role includes working closely with cross functional & continuously improve the Global Product through enriching with Data and ingesting business requirements. This role specializes in driving actions with business teams and is core to driving SKU delisting from the Unilever business.


  • Lead & Engage as business lead with senior stakeholders in the business – including customer development, supply chain, finance within markets to align on the Portfolio Analysis requirement
  • Act as Data and Engagement lead with Global SKU Product Manager to continuously enhance the product and optimize the solutions for performance, usability, and value
  • Secure data readiness and availability for the partner teams to work on the core Analytical models
  • Manage end to end roadmap of delivery with individual Market Squads and work closely with the Market Portfolio Manager or SKU Simplification Champions within the Markets to ensure delisting of SKU is happening on agreed timelines
  • Execute the end-to-end roadmap, including technical delivery and change management/adoption
  • Serves as change lead for design authority, prioritizing features, upgrades, changes, and fixes
  • Drive the data and analytics innovation agenda for Portfolio Analysis including SKU Rationalization
  • To manage the 3PP team and drive for operational excellence by having rigorous quality checks applied against the deliveries generated by the team.
  • To manage the transition of new data sets, knowledge transfers and development while having a flair towards automation and different ways of doing things in the RUN phase
  • To monitor user adoption scorecards of the Markets, post implementation of the tool and work closely with the Market teams to drive delisting of the SKU



  • The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded Data and Analytics professional who will have a deep knowledge of the value chain in Unilever, specifically in Customer Development and Supply Chain. This knowledge must be complemented by application of data, analytics, and emerging technologies required to deliver a world class capability as a Global Product.
  • Relevant experience in FMCG/Manufacturing Unit/KPO/IT Industry
  • Understanding of Supply Chain, Customer Development and Financial and Accounting Concepts.
  • Understanding of business drivers, processes and metrics for the finance, supply chain or market function relating specific to Portfolio Management.
  • Technical appreciation of Data Science tools and advanced analytics is preferable.


  • Professional qualification in Finance/Supply chain/Marketing
    (Ex: Chartered Accountant, MBA – Finance/Marketing)


  • Prior experience in managing Global Data and Analytics program
  • Sound knowledge of Unilever data sets both internal and external
