Product Analytics Manager - London, Bishopsgate

ICIS the largest information provider for the petrochemical and energy markets is looking for a bright, analytical minded Product Analyst to support the product team and our transition to a data and analysis company.
The insight and analysis provided by the product analyst will support the product team in understanding customer engagement, product performance and ultimately help us to make the right business decisions. Product analytics has become increasingly important within ICIS over the last years and as we pioneer new ways of customer analytics such as our Product Success Score (PSS). The new Product Analyst will allow us to drive the developments forward and ensure that all innovation on the product development side is supported by similarly innovative product analysis.

Build and define product metrics dashboards and conduct analytics to leverage as insight for product developments and optimization

Responsibilities :

  • Partner with Product managers to build KPIs for new product launches
  • Support commercial decision with analytics on product/commercial performance
  • Lead the development and implementation of an ICIS wide product analytics strategy
  • Understand the patterns within customer usage by developing algorithms to tell you if the customer was successful or not
  • Establish a standard processes within the product team and obtain feedback from stakeholders to identify opportunities to further improve product documentation
  • Manage internal and third parties involved in ICIS analytics tools
  • Liaise with engineers to ensure the right data to produce relevant product insights is collected

Experience / Skills:

  • Strong analytical mind set, ability to think creatively to uncover insights
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into mathematical/statistical models
  • Advanced data analysis skills – experience in statistical software packages such as Python or R is essential
  • Data manipulation and extraction - SQL knowledge and computer programming experience are highly advantageous.
  • Experienced user of web analytics tools. Adobe Analytics preferred, but Google Analytics or other major tools also beneficial
  • Knowledge and usage of Tableau preferred but not essential
  • Ability to translate stakeholder’s business requirements to KPIs
  • Ability to present data in meaningful ways and communicate complex insight effectively to a broad audience
  • Commercial focus: ability to prioritise tasks to focus on those most beneficial to the business
  • Self-driven motivation
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration
  • Degree or other high level qualification to include statistical, mathematical components.
