Job Description

Mission/Purpose of the Job:

  • Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities through analysis of complex data sets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization, generating both customer and internal reports meeting on-going business requirements.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
  • Write a white paper that summarize the impact of the actions identified through the data analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical/Data needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver meaningful dashboards to support business KPI visualisation.
  • Proactively analyse data to answer key questions from stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualisations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.
  • Support CSA 2.0 contracts to provide predictive failure alogorithms (PDM) for Edwards products at customer sites
  • Become the SME ( Subject Matter Expert ) for the SMA (Service Management Application).
  • Propose the possible set of actions to address the anomalies , the outliers , the peak , the out of Controls points.
  • Organize the data with Quality tools and present in a diligent way that people can understand quicky ( Pareto )
  • Work with Application team to identify other possible leads that can drive a further Service Revenue.
  • Own a centralized Data Base for each main Customers.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Statistics
  • Analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • End product delivery knowledge, in relevant areas including queries, reports, and presentations
  • SQL, Excel, Power BI, R, Python skills with the ability to learn other analytic tools
  • Awareness of database and model design and segmentation techniques
  • Programming skills with frameworks including XML, Javascript, and ETL
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis using statistical packages
  • Enthusiasm to participate in a team-oriented environment, as the sole analyst

Scope of the job

The jobholder: has responsibility for identifying trends, anomalies and opportunities through analysis of data sets across the Semiconductor and Semiconductor Service Divisions, they will work with managers and users to understand requirements and evaluate best practice to enable data mining, analysis and visualisation across a landscape of databases and systems.
