Job Description

Salford is seeking a manager to lead its NHS business intelligence service. This service supports the planning, commissioning and performance management functions of the CCG.
The Salford Business Intelligence service is placed within the Information Management & Technology team within the Finance directorate. The BI manager has close links with the Contract team, the Performance team & Service Improvement Team as well as IM&T staff within the CCG. They also have strong links with colleagues in Salford City Council especially Public Health and local NHS Trusts. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with Directors and senior managers and will represent the BI service at formal and informal governance meetings on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, networker and leader.
The post holder will manage and lead a team of 7 analysts and developers.
The post-holder will provide expertise, advice and guidance on information matters, and delivery of reporting to the CCG Governing Body/Board, committees and executive team ands its locality successors.
The NHS is undergoing organisational change, however, there is an expectation that there will be a strong locality-based set of services who will need a business intelligence service.
This post is a fixed term opportunity to support the CCG through its transition to the ICB. Secondments will be welcome.

The postholder will have a sound knowledge and experience of managing NHS data sets and statutory data submissions. They will also have experience of contributing to the annual planning process and understand the importance of managing the workload and deadlines associated with this.
