The Team

The Data Systems team report into the Quality unit. The team focus on user requirements for computerised systems, how they work, validation, and the applicable regulations.

Liaising with users and other departments, both internally and externally, they ensure business needs and standards are met.

As generalists there are a lot of opportunities to develop varies skills, all of which are offered by Almac. A successful team, all members are well known throughout the business, have a good understanding of complex systems and relish problem solving.

The Role

Working as part of the Almac Sciences Business unit, based at our Craigavon headquarters, the Data Systems Analyst will assist in the implementation and administration of data systems. Systems range from small standalone laboratory systems to critical infrastructure systems including LIMS and Empower Chromatography Data Systems.

As well as system administration, the post holder will be required to identify, implement, and review key systems that will lead to improved project delivery, effectiveness, efficiency and data integrity. This will involve the design and development of solutions which are compatible with operational and regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Grades A-C, in Mathematics and English.
  • A level (or equivalent) in a STEM subject OR relevant industrial experience
  • Previous experience of systems used in the pharmaceutical industry.

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)

  • A level (or equivalent) in Chemistry, or a closely related field
  • Experience in the use of a Chromatography Data System (CDS)
  • Experience in the use of the Waters Empower CDS.
  • Experience in the administration, maintenance or troubleshooting of a CDS.
  • Experience in the operation, installation, or administration of a LIMS.
  • Experience of computerised systems validation
  • Certified administrator in Empower CDS and Labware LIMS.
