We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BI Data Analyst join us. This is a key role within our Finance function responsible for modelling and developing dashboards in Power BI to support and enhance operational reporting as well as additional reporting and analytics for transformation projects. The role will entail creating and updating existing reports using best practices and minimizing impact to performance.

Initiating and maintaining a consistent theme and delivery method across all automated and custom reports. Preparing and maintaining report documentation, including business requirements, technical specification and user guides.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the provision of regular and timely reports (often daily) with analysis where appropriate, to the management team and other internal/external customers
  • Supplies non-routine business information to support key business activities and strategic progression
  • Collates, verifies and cleans datasets (often large and complex), to ensure integrity is maintained and contentious issues are addressed
  • Analyses, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reporting
  • Develops methods for the evaluation and quality control of operational data.
  • Support the B.I. function by undertaking research projects
  • Required to participate in and co-ordinate meetings with contacts at all levels within the organisation, including senior management

What we want from you:

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience to be successful in this role

  • experience working with dashboarding tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
  • highly numerate
  • experience in creating MI reports/dashboards to requirements
  • experience of working within an MI function
  • educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a numerical discipline but not essential (desirable)
  • Excel Level 2 Learn Direct (desirable)
  • SPSS and / or Access knowledge (desirable)
