What will you be doing?

Working closely with the Head of Commercial and the wider Commercial team, you will be forecasting the future trading performance of the company and will be instrumental covering the full journey from marketing through to departure profitability. You will undertake a wide range of activities including:

  • Analysing data to produce reports and commentary on a wide matrix of trading metrics ahead of regular commercial and business meetings and providing recommendations
  • Producing ad hoc reports and analysis on a business need basis as requested by the Head of Commercial and other key stakeholders
  • Challenging existing data capabilities to help improve accuracy and ease of use of management information
  • Supporting with the development of insights and presentations tied closely to strategic commercial plans for key destinations and departure periods through trading data and market analysis
  • Use company performance data to monitor country, region, source, month and programme performance in order to identify risks and opportunities, and recommend both tactical and strategic planning actions accordingly
  • Analyse available market and trading data, Cost of Goods and operational profit data, including historic trends, to help maximise future performance
  • Daily analysis of rate of sale, revenue and utilisation to suggest tactical pricing actions to help deliver revenue and utilisation targets
  • Monitor and report on the impact of discounting and special offers on sales and margins
  • Conduct on-going competitor price analysis on key products to ensure we are competitively priced in the marketplace

What are we looking for?

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Forecasting experience – data analysis or revenue management
  • Pro Power PI user – including other MS applications i.e., Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable analytical and numeracy skills linked to commercial awareness, ideally within an organisation with cyclical trading patterns
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective communication with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work alone and demonstrate initiative
