Data Analyst – Yield/Product Engineering

A new position for a Data Analyst - Yield Engineering has become available within the Operational Excellence team.

The role will expand our growing yield team and will focus on yield data analytics, yield models/ evaluation, and report automation. The position will also have input into various yield improvement projects, SPC, Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen activities. The role is initially to be 0800 – 16:30, Monday to Friday whilst training.

The role’s responsibilities will include:

• Analysing data streams from manufacturing processes, electrical test, CAM systems to generate and improve Yield KPIs.
• Creation of report templates in PDF Exensio for other platform users to run.
• Interface to the Data Infrastructure teams, internally and with our partners.
• Lead root cause analysis functions using PDF Exensio for yield events/8D etc.
• Automation of scheduled data extracts/reporting.

The successful candidate will be experienced in data analysis/engineering ideally in a semiconductor or advanced Manufacturing environment and will have the following skills:

• Experience in data visualisation and report publishing.
• Familiarity with datamining techniques and creation of structured schema.
• Experience of PDF Exensio/Tibco Spotfire or similar advanced data visualisation and analytics platforms.
• Experience with PDF Cimetrix/industry 4.0/Smart Factory connectivity & control systems would be beneficial.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software (JMP!, Minitab etc).
• Knowledge of quality methodologies like FMEA, SPC, Six-Sigma, Kaizen and 8D reporting will be an advantage.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A good understanding of Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience in a quality-critical manufacturing environment, microelectronics/medical/automotive/aerospace preferred.
• Able to work independently, result oriented, organised, and self-motivated.
