About The Role
Hippo Digital is recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Hippo Herd. Senior Data Analysts work in multi-disciplinary teams that build, support & maintain User-Centred digital solutions that offer real value and work for everyone.

Hippo’s Senior Data Analysts are involved in creating data specific solutions to ensure we have the right information and data to make informed decisions. Stakeholder engagement is key and collaborating within your hippo squad and the wider engineering community is fundamental.

Your role in a nutshell:

  • Develop and implement data specific solutions
  • Analyse data using statistical techniques and provide reports and dashboards
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines
  • Handling and mining of large, diverse data sets with an ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.
  • Identity, analyse and interpret trends/patterns in complex data sets
  • Regular engagement/collaboration with internal/external stakeholders
  • Be an advocate of data across the wider engineering community

Skills and experience that you need

  • A proven track record as a data analyst with experience of creating and developing complex data solutions
  • Skilled in utilising and maintaining data pipelines including working with technologies such as Kafka Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, Spark, Splunk! And Power BI
  • Skilled in working in cloud based environments – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Skilled in data cleansing, analysis and visualisation
  • Experience of working with large complex data warehouses
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more of the following languages: R, Python, Scala
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to illicit client requirements
  • Excellent collaboration skills and be a data advocate across the wider engineering & data team
  • Mentoring and coaching skills with a passion for up skilling junior analysts
  • GOV/Consultancy sector experience would be highly desirable
