Business Intelligence Developer - Insurance, VBA, SQL
The focus of this role will be to work in collaboration with the Pricing Actuarial Team and the IT Application Team to transfer the current Pricing model databases from MS Access to SQL, standardising the structural set up of the data tables and ensuring compatibility with the company data warehouse structure. In parallel to this, explore the suitability for alternative front-end rating engines and platforms.
Therefore, this role is well suited to a candidate with experience in developing an actuarial pricing model architecture for multiple classes / products and a strong proficiency in working with IT to design and implement high quality solutions that meet the needs of the customers.
Contract role, start ASAP, 5 days per week, 6-month duration, Hybrid working, and will be Inside IR35.
The Business Intelligence Developer will have the following experience:

Strong technical experience of end to end Actuarial Pricing Model structures, including awareness of industry best practices.

Knowledge and experience with using VBA, R or similar coding language.

Strong experience with SQL - including hands on experience of structuring tables, creating queries and managing procedures.

Project management skills, including excellent communication, organisation and planning. This will be critical to ensure that the project runs in a timely and professional manner, involving and informing various stake holders where necessary.
