Our brand-new Data Analyst Apprenticeship is suitable for those with an interest in IT and data management. It is a work-based training role, and you will develop the skills needed to collect, organise and analyse data to build information insights. Over 18 months, you will work towards an industry-recognised qualification at level 4 and will be ready to join a profession that is increasingly in demand!

Duties and responsibilities

Our Data Analyst Apprentices will be placed within one of our ICT functional teams (Products Data Team, Technology Office), where you will learn from experienced colleagues. You will also spend 20% of your time undertaking a special programme of training offered by Multiverse, our training partner. Key training areas will include:

• Foundations of Excel
• Relational databases
• Querying with SQL
• Fundamentals of Microsoft PowerBI
• Programming basics
• Predictive modelling
• Machine Learning
• Big Data Concepts

Essential requirements

Applicants will need (or expect to gain) grade 9–4 (A*-C) at GCSE in Maths and English. No prior work experience is required. We are looking for people who are keen to pursue a career in IT and have some knowledge of applications such as Excel. We are also looking for people with strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills.
