An opening is available to join a growing group of Research Software Engineers (RSEs) based at the University. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for software looking to use their skills to make an impact on research projects across the whole of the University of Oxford.
You will be an expert in information engineering and computer science, and related fields, as reflected in your work experience or by holding a PhD/DPhil in these subjects or related fields. You will have practical experience of creating software solutions to solve research problems in the field of textual editing (especially TEI and other .XML formats).
You will be able to work with partners from a variety of specialisms and backgrounds, particularly from the humanities. You will have experience of working in an interdisciplinary setting, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
