Band 6 - £32,306 - £39,027 6 MONTHS FIXED TERM, PART TIME ROLE
Due to secondment of one of the Transformation and Systems team onto a system implementation project, an opportunity has arisen in the Bristol and Weston Purchasing Consortium (BWPC) for an analyst to join the team and help to develop the Qlik Sense reporting software.
The post holder will be part of a team of analysts that operate as a resource pool within the Trusts Business Intelligence Department providing informatics services across Trust servicing the needs of key stakeholders and information users.
This role will predominantly be providing development expertise to the Procurement Transformation and Systems team.
The post holder will be part of a team of analysts that operate as a resource pool within the Trusts Business Intelligence Department providing informatics services across Trust servicing the needs of key stakeholders and information users.
As part of the role the post holder will provide support to the Trust on certain key areas of business function that will be operational, financial, or corporate.
The post holder will support the procurement team in reporting areas, which might include associated knowledge of: supply chain, Qlik procure to pay systems, information flows and detailed understanding of Trust applications or systems.
The post holder will also be involved in assisting in projects or ad hoc queries that address key analytical and information needs of the Trust.
The post holder will be customer focused working closely with procurement operational staff, the wider procurement team and the Information team improving the standards of reporting and information, and to highlight issues impacting data quality.

Essential Criteria
  • University Degree in mathematics, statistics, computing, healthcare informatics or an equivalent degree or work experience
  • Demonstrate high level of computer proficiency and with Microsoft products
Work Experience

Essential Criteria
  • Experienced in data interrogation using SQL, developing data queries for analysis and reporting
  • Experience of managing pieces of work from inception through to completion
  • Experience using web-based technologies and information systems to support reporting

  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Word with, with advanced skill and use of spreadsheet packages, in Excel
  • Ability to have in-depth mental attention with frequent interruptions re complex problems, emergency situations
  • Ability to focus in stressful situations and work effectively under pressure.
