As Data Scientist you will collaborate with other members of our highly talented Analytics team to develop our suite of innovative analytics solutions as well as use advanced statistical learning techniques to solve business problems and grow important business metrics..

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry and our business model, products, customers and players, through ongoing analysis
  • Develop, deploy and evaluate predictive models that help answer key business questions in collaboration with other team members
  • Help develop interactive reports and build predictive applications (RMarkdown, Jupyter Notebooks, D3, RShiny, etc.)
  • Develop and implement controlled experiments incl. A/B testing
  • Create data science documentation to drive consistent implementation
  • Work to automate the collection, cleaning and manipulation of data to reduce future effort
  • Provide input into the development of training resources for data science tools used by the business

What you need to succeed

  • Proven ability of deriving insights from diverse data sources and translating them into clear and concise conclusions and recommendations
  • Strong applied statistical skills especially in times series and longitudinal data modelling techniques
  • Practical experience with different machine leaning algorithms
  • Experience taking models from experimentation into deployment and production within an enterprise environment
  • Proven experience and fluency with SQL
  • At least one major data science and statistics language (e.g. R , Python)
  • Good programming practices, ability to write readable, fast code
  • Ability to explain complex ideas and data insights clearly and succinctly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good communication skills, with proven ability to work in cross functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively, as well as to manage workflow in accordance with project timelines is required
