This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Manchester based technology team in a role that will allow you to develop your skills as a Graduate Data Engineer (Microsoft /Azure) through the delivery of data insights to all areas of our business. Our operations are of a scale that will provide you with material data and technology solution challenges whilst allowing you to rapidly see the impact of the work that you do.
You won’t be afraid of a challenge as you’ll also be completing a professional Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate qualification through a blend of on the job learning and formal training.
Our strategic BI platform is Microsoft Azure and employs many of the latest Azure data platform services like Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Lake, Analysis Services, SQL Database and Power BI. We are looking for an innovative Graduate Data Engineer with enthusiasm for programming, technology and solving analytical challenges to join our in-house MI team within our in-house technology team (20 strong). This role therefore requires an individual who can work well and play their part effectively within a small team.
What will you be doing?
Reporting into the Data Warehouse Leader, as a Graduate Data Engineer you will work to deliver business insights to our executive team, planners, sales team and 600 strong team of engineering inspectors. These insights are critical to the growth of our business as well as the delivery of operational efficiencies and new client services. In addition, you will:
We have a challenging programme of BI and Analytics work to progress over the next 18 months as we continue to expand the data on the platform and work with business leads to deliver new data insights. As a Graduate Data Engineer, you will play a key role in contributing to business success.
