Senior Data Engineer

Salary: £75K-£95K + Equity

Job Description:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll own the entire data stack, from ingestion to analytics, for a rapidly growing climate tech platform. Design and implement robust data pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure with a DevOps mindset, and build scalable systems. Collaborate with product and engineering to deliver critical data for internal tools, analytics, and AI models, establishing best practices for governance and reliability.

What you will do:

  • Own the data stack from ingestion to analytics, including storage, processing, and access layers

  • Design and implement data pipelines for API, streaming, and batch ingestion

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) with a DevOps mindset — CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, scaling

The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years' experience in data engineering and cloud infrastructure

  • Expertise in Python (PySpark), SQL, and dbt or similar transformation frameworks

  • Strong DevOps skills — Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, monitoring/logging tools
